Tee-Throwing Incident Between Reed and McIlroy Erupts in Dubai

Former Masters winner Patrick Reed allegedly threw a tee at rival player Rory Mcllroy in Dubai.

The incident occurred after McIlroy allegedly failed to acknowledge Reed ahead of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.

Reed reportedly tried to greet McIlroy, but received no response.

Reed then walked away in disgust and threw a tee in McIlroy's direction.

Reed and McIlroy were both part of the controversial Saudi-backed LIV Golf circuit last year.

McIlroy has been a vocal critic of LIV Golf since its launch.

Reed was suspended by the PGA Tour after joining LIV Golf, but continues to play in DP World Tour events.

Reed has filed a defamation lawsuit against Golf Channel and analyst Brandel Chamblee, which was dismissed by a federal judge in Florida.

This week's tournament is the first of the year for McIlroy, who is coming off three wins in 2022.
